Participants in the Workshop are expected work on their own computer most of the time, so we provide instructions for connecting your computer to the network. At the beginning of the Workshop, everyone installs software that will be used throughout the course. Finally, to help make everyone comfortable working in a UNIX environment, we have put together a UNIX tutorial and an Emacs tutorial.
